?I was looking for a simple way to charge my phone on the go without carrying around extra cables. This magnetic battery pack seemed like the perfect solution. The look is clean, and the size is small enough that it doesn't add too much bulk to the phone, which was important to me.?Right out of the box, the build quality feels top-tier. It has a nice weight to it and feels like a durable, well-made item.?Unfortunately, there are two problems that are hard to ignore. First, this thing gets very warm when it's charging my phone. It's not just a little warm; it gets hot enough to be a real concern. The other issue is how it fits on my phone. While it does connect, it doesn't sit straight. The bottom twists to the side just a little, and it's always off-center. It's a constant annoyance that makes the whole thing feel less secure.?Because of the heat issue and the crooked fit, I had to knock off a couple of stars. For the price, you expect things like that to be right. It's a shame, because the quality and design are otherwise very good.

As someone who used to daily drive an Anker MagGo 622 and has been daily driving a Xiaomi 500 for my battery bank, this one is kind of a middle-in-the-road when it comes to physical design. The Xiaomi is slightly smaller, but this AeroMag does have a soft finish for one of the sides and the metal surface doesn't feel as harsh as the Xiaomi. Time will tell on how long the soft finish last though because if my Anker MagGo is an indication of anything, it will start to wear over a year or 2. The side opposite to the wireless charger is the battery indicator (activated by a button). Max input/output over USB-C alone is 9V2.22A so it's spec wise very similar to Anker's Nano MagGo 5000mAh.Compared to the 10000mAh the cooling doesn't feel as good (I feel like my phone is a bit hotter relatively), and the simultaneous output when using both the USB-C as an output and the wireless charger is only 10W (it's 15W for the 10000mAh version), but compared to my other battery banks this one is pretty good. I couldn't properly test wireless charging speed though since the fastest magsafe device I have is an iPhone 13 mini, but I also didn't run into issues when wireless charging that phone or my Motorola Razr 2024. I guess if I want to be nitpicky, this battery bank doesn't have CCC certification which means you can't bring it on a plane if you're flying in China. Price is pretty competitive, I am writing this review after Prime Day 2 so the pricing is a bit unstable, but it's competitive with an Anker Nano MagGo 5000mAh so this is a pretty decent option.

This is a very slim and compact battery pack that pairs well with an iPhone as it's the exact measurement of the new iPhone 16 Pro. This battery pack has a durable magnet for wireless charging. So far the battery pack charges my iPhone at a reasonably fast speed. My top criticism is the price for this 5000 milliamp hour. The battery is slightly expensive and I don't prefer on the side of the battery pack where they placed all of the manufacturing details and battery information. This takes away from the nice look, but only slightly.
